In Perm, employees of the local gunpowder factory rebelled. They complain that their company was put on high production mode to help Iran.

In Perm, at the Perm Powder Plant, a wave of protests began among employees who were outraged by the decision to transfer the enterprise to 24-hour operation, seven days a week, and with extended shifts. Employees of the Perm Powder Plant were announced that the plant would switch to 4 shifts of work. In addition, their shift hours were increased and weekends were canceled in order to provide assistance to the Iranians.

The decision came after the Israel Defense Forces attacked Iranian military targets, creating an urgent need for Iran to replenish military supplies. As an ally of Tehran, Russia decided to support production and direct its resources to help Iran, which immediately affected working conditions in Perm.

According to plant employeesthe bosses force them to work seven days a week and overtime for several hours, which caused sharp discontent and condemnation among the workers.

Factory workers recorded an appeal to your governorasking for help.

“The bosses refuse to listen to us… We refuse to work seven days a week! We are not interested in Iran's problems! Until this time, we had enough solid fuel in full (in the aggression against Ukraine – ed.). But now our management is saying that we have to work 4 hours more per shift and seven days a week,” a plant employee complained.

Employees actively share their outrage on social networks and local public pages:

  • “Why should I work seven days a week because of Iran’s problems? Is this my country or the country of Iran? Who will look after the children?
  • “Now we have to work for a month without rest, like slaves, simply because Russia needs to support Iran.”.

Forced labor as a reflection of the alliance between Russia and Iran

This situation highlights the close cooperation between Russia and Iran, forming the so-called “axis of evil.” Having established cooperation, Russia and Iran are demonstrating their willingness to violate the rights of citizens and increase the exploitation of labor resources for the sake of geopolitical goals. Open complaints from plant employees show that social tensions within Russia are growing, and forced labor is becoming a common practice to ensure the interests of the Putin regime abroad.

Propaganda reaction: Russia denies problems

It is noteworthy that Russian pro-Kremlin media were quick to call the video message of the employees fake, claiming that the protests were inspired by “external forces” and were an attempt to “undermine stability.” However, numerous messages in local public pages confirm the authenticity of the appeals and the reality of difficult working conditions at the plant. Russia seeks to hide internal problems and stubbornly tries to maintain a public image of a strong alliance with Iran, denying facts that do not fit into the picture of official propaganda.

Conclusions and significance of the situation for Israel

Israel, seeing how Russia supports Iran, can view this incident as further evidence of the strong military ties between the two countries. The Israeli response to increasing interaction between Russia and Iran requires an increased focus on security, since any Russian assistance to Iran strengthens the Iranian regime's military position.
