He noted that the government had decided to ensure further supplies. Previously, the CDU/CSU coalition criticized the German government for refusing to issue licenses for arms exports to Israel.

CDU leader Friedrich Merz pointed to delays in processing license applications from companies submitted several months ago. In an interview after this, possible events in the Middle East were discussed, including Israeli military actions against Iran and cooperation between Kyiv and Jerusalem on this issue.
