December 25, 2024 Hamas and Israel blame each other for failing to reach a ceasefire agreement, although progress has already been made in negotiations.

Hamas says Israel has presented new conditions related to the withdrawal, ceasefire and return of displaced persons. According to them, the negotiations were serious with the help of mediation from Qatar and Egypt.

“The terrorist organization Hamas continues to lie, abandon agreements already reached and create difficulties in negotiations,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Netanyahu also said Israel would continue efforts to return the hostages, and Israeli negotiators had returned from Qatar for consultations on the issue.
