Iran has called the G7's statement about its missile attack on Israel “biased.”

On October 3, 2024, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei called the G7 statement condemning the attack on Israel “biased and irresponsible.” Iran fired more than 180 missiles at Israel on October 1 in response to the killings of Hezbollah leaders and aggression in Gaza and Lebanon, Reuters reported.

G7 leaders expressed “strong concern” about the crisis in the Middle East and condemned Tehran's attack. They noted that a diplomatic resolution to the conflict is still possible and a regional conflict is not in the interests of anyone.

Earlier, the United States and the G7 warned Israel against attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities. Some Israeli officials have called for strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, but noted that such a possibility is not being considered. President Biden also said he would oppose such an attack.
