Iran may accelerate its development of nuclear weapons due to concerns about Trump's actions, the WSJ reports.

Among the many challenges facing the new Trump administration is the issue of Iran, which is pursuing nuclear weapons. The mullahs have aggressively promoted their nuclear project during the Biden administration.

Iran realized that its conventional missiles lacked precision and power, and that Israel was capable of destroying much of Iran, with the possible exception of its carefully hidden uranium plants. However, in the latest attack on Iran, Israel did not attack the biggest threat: nuclear weapons facilities.

According to The Wall Street Journal, this could be due to both the Biden administration's call for restraint and concerns that Israeli bombers may not be up to the task.

“For the first time, Iranian political forces are calling for the development of nuclear weapons. The Javan newspaper, a propagandist for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, noted that Israel is using “destructive military technologies to establish a new order,” which could lead to a change in Iran's nuclear doctrine, the journalists reported.

The newspaper also notes that Trump's assassination of Iranian General Soleimani frightened the regime, which could prompt the Iranians to resort to a nuclear bomb. According to Tehran government spokesman Fatemeh Mohajerani, the US elections will not affect the lives of Iranians after Trump's victory.
