Iran named its main “friends” – Russia and China

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed his determination to develop cooperation with China and Russia in countering US policies. He emphasized that the United States adheres to unilateral actions in the international arena. Pezeshkian also spoke about the strategic nature of cooperation between Iran and China.

The Iranian President also noted that he strives to implement the Strategic Cooperation Agreement between Iran and China. He reported on constructive negotiations with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the BRICS summit in Kazan. The Chinese side expressed its determination to strengthen relations with Iran.

Zhang Guoqing conveyed greetings from President Xi and called Iran an important country playing a constructive role in the international arena. He emphasized the strategic partnership between China and Iran. Recently, the Iranian President spoke with Russian leader Putin, discussing events in northern Syria, acknowledging the planning of jihadist actions by Israel and the United States.
