An Israeli delegation traveled to Qatar to continue negotiations with Hamas over the release of Israeli hostages. They have a “limited mandate” to negotiate the terms of the deal. Israel hopes to reach a deal by the end of the month, although differences remain over the number of hostages to be released.

According to Channel 11, Hamas does not know the whereabouts of all the hostages and is offering to release a smaller number than Israel demands. According to sources, fewer hostages than planned will be released in the first phase for humanitarian reasons.
