The peace plan published by the White House on September 29, 2025, received support from a number of Arab countries and European states. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed approval of the proposal during a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.
Reaction of Arab Leaders
In a joint statement by the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Indonesia, Turkey, Pakistan, and Egypt, the necessity of creating a Palestinian state is emphasized. Although Trump’s plan considers this only as a distant goal, they declare readiness to facilitate the peace process.
Support was also expressed by the leaders of France and the United Kingdom, who last week, despite the U.S. position, recognized the Palestinian state. Spain, known for its criticism of Israeli policy, also supported the new proposal.
Prospects of the Plan
The future of the peace plan now depends on the decision of the “HAMAS” group, which controls part of the Gaza Strip and holds several hostages. The organization confirmed that they received the plan and intend to discuss it. It is proposed that “HAMAS” agrees to exchange power in Gaza and disarmament, with participants laying down arms not being prosecuted.
Netanyahu’s Statement
Amid this, Netanyahu ordered the successful implementation of Trump’s plan, warning that if “HAMAS” refuses, Israel will “complete the task itself” and defeat the group. Trump promised that the U.S. would support Israel in this case.
Content of the Peace Plan
Trump’s plan contains 20 points, including the necessity of a ceasefire and hostage exchange. It provides for the phased withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, disarmament of “HAMAS,” and the creation of a temporary technocratic cabinet with the participation of Palestinians and international experts. The group will not be allowed to participate in political life. Those wishing to leave Gaza will be granted such a right. The relocation of Gaza residents is not provided for under the agreement.
Goals of the Israeli Operation
Israeli authorities note that one of the main tasks of the military operation remains the release of hostages captured during the attack. Currently, 50 people remain in captivity, including a soldier killed in 2014. It is reported that 20 of them are alive.
