Residents of Odessa shared evidence of the terrorist attack that took place in their city. Mourning in Odessa was declared in memory of those killed in the ballistic strike that occurred on Monday. Ten people were killed in the rocket attack, and more than 50 people, including four children, were injured. This was reported by TSN correspondent Elena Chernyaeva.
One of the victims, Elizaveta Lavrinenko, said: “I was at my workplace at the time of arrival, I am a cosmetologist. As I turned around to get ready for work, I was thrown, along with the window and the couch, against the door into the corridor. I'm bleeding, my shoulder is injured, I have 60 stitches on my face. I was cut by shrapnel so much that a piece of the rocket hit my office.”
The area where rocket debris fell may still contain unexploded ordnance, so area residents remain cautious. This is the third time this year that local residents have faced similar attacks and are forced to replace broken windows.
As a result of the attack, Odessa residents felt a strong earthquake, which forced many to flee the scene. The city has remained without electricity, trams, trolleybuses, water and heating for the third day. Generators are working on the streets, and Odessa residents are ready for such troubles, they say that they were ready.
Energy workers are trying to restore damaged equipment in the city after a massive attack in order to ensure light at least on schedule. Lights turn on and off unexpectedly. The actions of energy workers will allow city residents to continue living in relatively comfortable conditions.
