This terrorist, who actually heads the Politburo of Hamas after the liquidation of Ihya Sinwar, arrived in the Russian capital to meet with Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov. Despite Hamas being responsible for thousands of deaths, including the recent massacre of Israelis, Russia continues to maintain ties to the terrorist group.
During the meeting, the possibility of releasing two hostages with Russian citizenship was discussed, but only subject to an exchange for Palestinian prisoners and a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Russia and its “friends” in the Middle East
Moscow's actions in the Middle East have long raised doubts and criticism from the international community. Instead of acting as a peacemaker or at least maintaining neutrality, Putin chooses to support Israel's most outspoken enemies. Russia is consistently developing relations with terrorist organizations such as Hamas, Hezbollah and other radical groups that openly oppose the existence of the Jewish state.
Musa Abu Marzuk arrived in Moscow with the goal of strengthening these relations and promoting his demands. He openly stated that Hamas is ready to release two hostages with Russian citizenship, but only if certain conditions are met – an “exchange” for Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons.

Bidding on blood: how Russia negotiates with terrorists
Against the backdrop of all this, the question arises: how can you negotiate with terrorists who have killed civilians? The answer is simple – it is important for Putin to maintain ties with any regimes and organizations that oppose the West and its allies, including Israel. For Russia in the Middle East, the main thing is to undermine the influence of the United States and the EU, even if this requires cooperation with those who shed the blood of innocent people.
In June of this year, Abu Marzuk already visited Moscow, where a similar issue was discussed. However, since then the situation has only worsened. Last time we were talking about two hostages – Alexander Trufanov and another Russian, whose fate remained unknown. Today, Abu Marzuk again raised this topic, saying that one of the hostages is no longer alive, and the second, Maxim Kharkin, is still in captivity.
