The creator of the series “Squid Game” announced the release date of the third season

In the seventh episode of the second season, viewers saw a post-credits scene where the deadly doll appeared with a new partner, which means that the game continues.

“When I wrote the script for the second and third seasons, I had one long storyline. Initially, I planned to write this whole story into 8-9 episodes, but in the end it turned out to be 10 episodes. That's too much for one season. After following Gi Hoon and his attempts to stop the game, I realized that filming the five-sided games was the most interesting,” said the screenwriter.

The premiere of the third season is scheduled for 2025.

“At this point, anything I can say would be a spoiler, so I’m trying to be careful with what I say. I expect the third season to come out in the summer or fall. Gi Hoon lost everything, including his best friend, and all his attempts failed. What condition will Gi Hoon be in? And what will he choose? Will he continue the mission? Will he give in or will he resist? You will see Gi Hoon at a very important crossroads when the third season begins. Gi Hoon will not be the same person as he was in the second season,” the director emphasized.
