The IDF has imposed a ban on visiting new territory in the Western Galilee.

Major General Ori Gordin signed an order to close a section of the border with Lebanon where there has been no fighting until now. Residents of several villages were evacuated, and a ban on entry into the military zone began at 20:00.

This exclusion zone extends 20 km into Lebanese territory, and this is not the first time such closed zones have been established in northern Israel.

According to IDF orders, residents of 22 villages in southern Lebanon had to leave their homes. In the past, such restrictions preceded the conduct of ground operations on Lebanese territory. This time the restrictions were imposed without a prior military offensive, causing concern among local residents and observers.
