The US military carried out strikes on targets in Syria in response to attacks by pro-Iranian groups. General Michael Eric Kurilla said the US action was aimed at armed groups backed by Iran. It is emphasized that attacks on American soldiers and their partners will not be tolerated. No US military personnel were injured in the attacks carried out by Iran-backed groups in the past 24 hours. The US military has not disclosed information about the targets of the strikes in Syria or their consequences. About 900 American troops are stationed in eastern Syria and another 2,500 in Iraq. According to information from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, four Syrian members of pro-Iranian groups were killed and ten were wounded in the attack on the “headquarters” in Deir ez-Zor.

On Monday, the Israeli Air Force attacked a humanitarian aid convoy in the Shamsin area, leading to the closure of a major highway in Syria. No casualties were reported and state television did not provide details about the convoy that was attacked. The area is known as a gathering place for refugees from Lebanon.
