This year, Germany doubled arms exports to Ukraine and halved those to Israel.

The IRIS-T PPO system received Ukrainian weapons and military equipment from Berlin totaling €8.1 billion in 2024, significantly more than a year earlier.

At the same time, exports to Israel fell to €161 million compared to the previous year, when it was ten times more. Germany also approved the export of arms and military equipment to Singapore for €1.2 billion, for Algeria about €559 million and for Turkey €230 million.

Germany continues to be one of Ukraine’s key partners in the field of military support. “German military assistance to Ukraine” already amounts to €28 billion. The Ukrainian army received from Berlin Leopard tanks of various modifications, IRIS-T and Patriot air defense systems, MARS II and HIMARS rocket fire systems, as well as other military equipment.

The total cost of military assistance is estimated at €28 billion. More than 10 thousand Ukrainian military personnel received training in Germany worth €282 million. To a new aid package that Germany will transfer to Ukraine by the end of 2024 in the amount of 650 million euros, including the IRIS-T air defense system.
