The charity World Central Kitchen (WCK) has fired 62 employees in the Gaza Strip with suspected links to the terrorist organization Hamas. WCK noted that they have no information from Israel about the reasons for the suspicions, but took this step to protect their team on the ground.
Israeli authorities demanded that WCK investigate employees with possible ties to Hamas following the death of an employee involved in the massacre in early October. Israeli sources indicated the need to review the actions of WCK personnel and take appropriate action.
Israeli authorities did not provide World Central Kitchen with information on the basis of which the employees were fired. The organization decided to investigate the situation in the interests of the safety of its workers in Gaza.
