Understanding the gravity of the situation, Pope Francis called for courage to resume dialogue to immediately stop the fighting in Gaza and on all fronts, free the hostages and provide humanitarian aid to the population. He stressed that attacks and killings can never be a solution, as they only increase hatred and revenge. Pope Francis concluded that war is a defeat and does not lead to peace and justice.
