Iran will squeeze everything it can from the Kremlin by providing missiles.

Cooperation between Moscow and Tehran depends on Russia having a sufficient number of Su-35 fighters. Iran is ready to exchange them for ballistic missiles and Shaheds. This, according to the head of the Center for Military and Legal Studies Alexander Musienko, is a profitable exchange for Iran.

At the moment, the Su-35 fighters are not decisive for Russia in the war in Ukraine. Therefore, the Russians can give even the newest models to Iran and produce new ones in the future. Iran, for its part, is in no hurry, since Russia is conducting military operations. If Iran receives a squadron of aircraft, this will allow it to update its fleet.

Also, if Iran receives the S-400 air defense systems promised during Sergei Shoigu's visit to Iran, this will be positive for the country, as it has no other alternative but to turn to China. For Russia, this situation is disadvantageous, as it either loses its aircraft or transfers air defense systems. However, due to the exhaustion of its own resources, the Kremlin is forced to make such decisions.

Iran will seek favorable conditions from Russia, both in terms of money and in terms of equipment and weapons. According to Musienko, “Iran will squeeze everything out of Russia.” Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council Andrey Kovalenko noted that Iran's supply of ballistic missiles to Russia could be a response to Washington's actions. The United States provides military assistance to Israel, and Iran's conflict with it is subject to the threat of escalation.

These actions are taking place in conditions when the Russians are running out of S-300 missiles, which is evident from the decrease in their use in Kharkov and the region compared to 2023. The enemy, unfortunately, is using other types of weapons, including KABs. As a result, Russia finds itself in a situation where it cannot dictate terms and is forced to make concessions.
