The US authorities deny their country's involvement in the explosions in Lebanon, the White House stated.

The United States was not involved in the explosions of pagers and other devices in Lebanon used by Hezbollah militants, White House adviser John Kirby said. “We were not involved in either yesterday's or today's incidents,” the White House spokesman stressed. He declined to comment on Israel's possible involvement in disrupting militant communications.

Kirby noted that the United States continues to adhere to the position of the need to prevent escalation of the conflict. He emphasized that the best way to avoid a new front in Lebanon is diplomacy. More than 2,000 people were injured in the pager explosions on Tuesday, and other communications devices used by militants were blown up on Wednesday.

The incidents have caused concern among the international community.
