Publications by the Ukrainian-Jewish Zustrich (UJE) project and the Tkuma Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies shed light on the long and difficult history of relations between the Ukrainian and Jewish peoples. As part of the 2024 Lviv BookForum, a presentation of books was held that revealed the cultural, historical and literary aspects of Ukrainian-Jewish ties.
Basic books presented at Lviv BookForum
Project “Ukrainian-Jewish Zustrich” I highlighted several key publications that deserve special attention:
- “A Tale of Love and Darkness” by Amos Oz
- The author talks about personal and historical roots going back to Ukraine, about family and destiny.

The new textbooks have already received positive feedback from Ukrainian teachers seeking to instill in young people a deep understanding of history.

The Ukrainian-Jewish Zustrich project and the Tkuma Institute continue active work to preserve the memory of the tragic events of the Holocaust, emphasizing that awareness of historical truth helps to resist genocide and tragedies in the present. Particular attention is paid to educating future generations in the spirit of mutual respect and cooperation.
