At the end of November, the Ukrainian men's basketball team will take part in the matches of the second round of qualifying for the 2025 European Championship. The Ukrainian team will meet twice with the Israeli team. According to the plan, the first match will take place on November 23, 2024 at 18:00 in Latvia at the Arena Riga site.

Due to the Russian invasion, the Ukrainian national team will play their nominal home match in Riga. It is also known that Israeli teams have not played matches in Israel since October 7, 2023, when the country was attacked from the Gaza Strip. The Israeli team will also play their home match against Ukraine in Riga on November 25 at 20:00.

Let us remind you that in the two opening games of the qualification, the Ukrainian team was defeated by Slovenia (73:87) and Portugal (77:79). According to the rules, the three teams that occupy the best places in the group, except for the groups with the hosts of EuroBasket 2025 (Cyprus, Finland, Poland and Latvia), will advance to the final round.
