During the clearing of debris, rescuers found a little girl alive — she was holding a kitten, with whom she spent hours under the rubble.

On the night of November 7-8, 2025, the armed forces of the aggressor state Russia launched a massive combined strike on Ukraine.
According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian terrorists launched 503 aerial attack means458 strike drones and 45 missiles of various types, including “Iskander-M”, “Kinzhal”, “Kalibr”, and others.
Ukrainian air defense and electronic warfare systems destroyed or neutralized 415 targets, however, 26 missiles and 52 drones reached Ukrainian territories, hitting 25 settlements.

A missile launched by Russian forces hit a residential apartment building.
According to official data, three civilians were killed, eleven people were injured, including children.

“The rescue operation continues, and unfortunately, the number of victims may increase.”

Destruction and outages

The strikes targeted energy infrastructure facilities in central and southern regions of Ukraine.
According to information, damage and power outages were recorded in dozens of cities.
“Ukrzaliznytsia” reported a temporary collapse of train movement due to power outages and network damage.
Emergency teams and heating points for the population have been deployed in the affected regions.

Zelensky: “Russia strikes at life, and the world must increase pressure”

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated:

“Russia launched more than 450 drones and 45 missiles of various types at Ukraine. Their targets are ordinary life, residential buildings, our energy, infrastructure. To stop this, sanctions are needed that will deprive the aggressor of resources for killings.”

He emphasized that Russian nuclear energy is still not under sanctions, and the Russian military-industrial complex continues to receive Western components.
Zelensky urged allies to implement decisions on frozen Russian assets and increase pressure on the Russian energy sector.

Scale and nature of the strikes

The attack covered dozens of regions: Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions.
Russian terrorist forces combined types of weapons — drones, ballistic and cruise missiles, including hypersonic “Kinzhal” missiles.
According to the Air Force, Russia attempted to overload the air defense system with massive launches from different directions.

After the attack

Rescue and recovery operations continue at the sites of debris falls and in affected areas.
In several regions, power supply has been restored, repair teams, medics, and psychologists are working.
Ukrainian authorities are clarifying data on destruction and casualties.

Russia — terrorist and aggressor: world decisions

Ukraine officially calls the Russian Federation an aggressor and terrorist state, striking at the civilian population.
