Who is Arsen Mirzoyan
Born in Zaporizhzhia in 1978, Arsen Mirzoyan is a Ukrainian musician, author, and performer of Armenian descent. He once worked as a metallurgical engineer and never dreamed of the stage. But everything changed when in 2011 he appeared on the stage of the show “Voice of the Country” and since then has become one of the most recognizable male voices in Ukraine.
Mirzoyan combines poetry and harsh reality in his songs. He knows how to speak about pain and love so that everyone recognizes themselves in these words. His lyrics are honest, without glamour, but with the strength of human dignity.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, he has become not just an artist, but the voice of those on the front and those waiting for them at home. And this is the main reason why his songs resonate so strongly in the hearts of both Ukraine and Israel.
How Arsen Mirzoyan helps Ukraine
With the onset of the full-scale war, Arsen Mirzoyan completely changed his life. Music remained, but it became a tool of assistance. The artist turned creativity into a form of volunteering, and the stage into a platform for supporting those who defend Ukraine.
Every month, he and his family direct about a million hryvnias to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These funds go towards purchasing equipment, spare parts, communications, medical gear, and uniforms. Mirzoyan emphasizes that their help is transparent: they organize collections themselves, know every penny, and personally control where everything goes.
During the war, Arsen’s team helped deliver about a thousand vehicles to the front — from pickups to SUVs. Added to this are drones, anti-drone rifles, thermal imagers, generators, ghillie suits, first aid kits, and radio communication. He has repeatedly stated that this is not PR, but a way for the country where his children live to survive.
The artist has repeatedly traveled to eastern Ukraine to personally deliver equipment and perform for the fighters. His concerts on the front line are not shows, but conversations with people who face death every morning. He sings for them without a microphone, just among the military, and often after performances helps unload humanitarian vehicles or repair equipment.
Mirzoyan and his wife, singer Tonya Matviyenko, consciously refused online collections. They prefer to act directly: they hold charity concerts, send funds directly, and purchase and deliver equipment themselves.
🟡 Why this is important
This approach makes help not a one-time action, but systematic work. A million hryvnias monthly is not just a number, but proof of personal responsibility.
A thousand vehicles and dozens of drones are real equipment that saves the lives of Ukrainian soldiers.
And his personal trips to the front show that the artist stays with his country not in words, but in deeds.
For the Israeli audience, this is especially tangible: Arsen Mirzoyan is an example of how culture and art become weapons of light. He does not separate Ukraine and the world — he sings about people for whom life is more important than war, and in this way unites all who believe in humanity.
“I cannot be just an artist when the country is on fire,” he says in an interview.
His new mini-album “Call Signs” is dedicated to those people whose names and stories he heard on the front.
🎸 Details of the Tel Aviv concert
The acoustic evening at the Havana Music Club will be part of the Jewish-Ukrainian cultural dialogue. In the hall, where jazz and Latin usually sound, for one night the Ukrainian soul will be heard — sincerely, homely, warmly, and without pathos.
Date — November 14, 2025, starting at 20:00.
Address: Tel Aviv, Yigal Alon St. 126.
Ticket price: first 100 — 220 ₪, then — 256 ₪.
The concert will be in the format of live communication — without huge screens and light shows, just a stage, a guitar, and a person who knows how to sing honestly about life. There will be old hits — “Іванка”, “Не магніти”, “Капронові банти”, and new songs of wartime.
Organizers emphasize that part of the proceeds from the event will be directed to support Ukrainian volunteer initiatives.
For the Ukrainian diaspora in Israel, this is not just a concert, but an opportunity to meet, breathe together the music of their country, and pass on the feeling of home to each other.
Creativity and style

Arsen Mirzoyan’s music is a mix of rock, blues, and lyrics, where each song is a short film. He sings about everyday things in a way that makes them lofty. About love — without sugar, about loss — without tears, about war — without propaganda.
Critics note that he managed to create his own sound — “an honest soundtrack of male vulnerability.” At his concerts, people don’t shout, they listen. And in the end, there is always silence, which is more valuable than applause.
Arsen Mirzoyan’s music is an honest confession of a man who is not afraid to talk about weakness, pain, and love. His style combines rock, blues, and acoustic lyrics, where each song is a separate story, lived by him or heard from others.
His most famous hits have become symbols of different periods of modern Ukraine:
- “Іванка” — a light but bitter song about feelings that cannot be held, about trying to find oneself after a breakup. It feels like self-irony and open pain, which is why listeners perceive it as a confession.
- “Не магніти” — a track about how close people sometimes repel each other, even when the attraction between them is stronger than logic. A song about complex relationships where love does not always equal harmony.
- “Капронові банти” — a nostalgic composition addressed to childhood and first school memories. Through simple images, he speaks of time that passes but does not disappear from memory.
- “Імперія світла” — a philosophical song about inner freedom, written against the backdrop of events that changed the country. Here you feel an adult faith in goodness and fatigue from lies.
- “Позивні” — a new cycle of songs created during the war. Each story is based on the real fates of fighters, volunteers, people living between the rear and the front line. This is not just music — it is a document of the time.
In his songs, there are no loud slogans — only truth, lived inside.
Arsen knows how to talk about the difficult without pathos, turning personal experiences into a national emotion. That is why he is listened to both in Ukraine and beyond — because in every line there is a life that cannot be faked.
