Ukrainian exports of poultry meat and eggs in March 2026 reached a peak since the start of the full-scale war. For the Israeli audience, this statistic is important not only as an agricultural news: Israel is already among the notable buyers of Ukrainian eggs, which means it concerns food sustainability, trade relations, and Ukraine’s place in the new food map of the region.

In March, Ukraine exported 43.47 thousand tons of poultry meat and 216.2 million eggs. Both indicators were the highest for the entire war period. At the same time, the demand structure shows an important detail: the main driver of purchases remains the European markets, however, Israel has also established itself among the significant destinations for Ukrainian products.

Record poultry export: volumes increased, but prices fell

According to the Union of Poultry Farmers of Ukraine, in March 2026, the volume of poultry meat exports amounted to 43.47 thousand tons. This is 5.3% more than in February, when the figure was at the level of 41.08 thousand tons.

However, the growth in physical deliveries did not lead to an increase in foreign exchange earnings. On the contrary, revenues in this segment decreased by 3.8% and amounted to 85.05 million US dollars. The reason is the decrease in the average export price to 1.96 dollars per kilogram. The result was influenced by the global market situation: it was possible to sell more, but earn less on each unit of product.

Who buys Ukrainian poultry meat

In the first quarter of 2026, the main consumers of Ukrainian poultry meat were the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Slovakia, and the United Arab Emirates. These directions formed the main external demand and supported the export dynamics of the sector in the conditions of war, logistical risks, and price turbulence.

The role of the European Union stands out separately. EU countries imported 42.4 thousand tons of Ukrainian products, which accounted for 35.8% of the total supply volume. At the same time, it was the European market that provided 46.4% of all foreign exchange earnings in the segment. This means that Europe is important for Ukrainian producers not only as a large buyer but also as a more profitable market.

Eggs showed an even sharper growth, and Israel entered the list of important markets

If poultry meat exports grew moderately, then in the egg segment March was especially strong. Ukraine supplied 216.2 million eggs to foreign markets for a total of 24 million US dollars.

This is 23% more than in February 2026, and 25% higher than the figure for March last year. The growth in monetary revenue is even more noticeable: compared to last year, it increased by 57%. Such a gap between volume growth and revenue growth indicates a more favorable price and commercial dynamics specifically in the egg segment.

In the first quarter of 2026, Ukraine exported 579.5 million eggs for a total of 66 million dollars. In annual comparison, physical supply volumes increased by 17%, and monetary receipts by 74%. For the country’s agricultural sector, which operates under war conditions, this is an indicator of resilience and the ability to quickly adapt to external demand.

Why Israel is especially important here

Among the largest buyers of Ukrainian eggs in the first quarter of 2026 were named Spain, the United Kingdom, Poland, and Israel. Israel accounted for 8.3% of the total export in this segment.

For the Israeli market, this is an important signal. Firstly, Ukraine remains a significant food supplier even under war conditions. Secondly, Israel’s presence among the key buyers shows that bilateral trade ties work not only in the field of technology, politics, or security but also in matters of basic food logistics.

It is in such figures that it is best seen that the wartime economy changes not only Ukraine itself but also the circle of states that are increasingly involved in its export infrastructure. NANews — Israel News | Nikk.Agency in this context draws attention to another aspect: for Israel, Ukrainian agricultural export is not abstract statistics, but part of a broader picture of interdependence, where food, logistics, foreign policy, and market stability are increasingly interconnected.

What these figures mean for Israel and the region

The main conclusion of March 2026 is that Ukraine not only retained its export positions but was able to bring two sensitive agricultural directions to a record level since the start of the war. This is especially important against the backdrop of constant risks to ports, transport corridors, insurance of shipments, and the overall state of global food trade.

For Israel, the significance of this statistic is twofold. On the one hand, it is about the practical interest of a buyer who already occupies a significant share in the structure of Ukrainian egg exports. On the other hand, it is about the strategic understanding that the Ukrainian agricultural sector remains one of the real sources of supply for countries interested in diversifying food imports.

It is also indicative that EU countries account for 74% of the total export of Ukrainian eggs. This confirms the general turn of Ukrainian agricultural trade towards the European market and one close to it in terms of market regulation logic. Israel in this system looks not like an accidental partner, but as part of a broader network of states that value stable supplies and reliable external sources of food.

Therefore, the March record is not just a successful month for Ukrainian exporters. It is a marker that even in wartime conditions, Ukraine continues to increase its presence in foreign markets, and Israel is already inside this economic reality not as an observer, but as one of the notable buyers.
