Updated policy of the Israeli Minister of Internal Affairs regarding the stay of Ukrainian citizens in Israel
Update date: 11/11/2024
This policy is in effect until December 31, 2025, or until the war in Ukraine ends and citizens can safely return to the country, whichever comes first.
Original (Hebrew) –
Israeli Interior Minister Moshe Arbel updates the policy on the stay of Ukrainian citizens in Israel and reports that, given the changes that have occurred, the experience gained and the passage of time, measures will not be taken against their employers for violating employment rules. This applies to those who have been in Israel for more than 90 days from the date of entry and have a Ukrainian passport.
The employer is obliged to make sure that the employee is indeed a citizen of Ukraine and has been in Israel for more than 90 days.
In addition, the minister decided to extend tourist visas (type B/2) for Ukrainian citizens who were legally in Israel at the start of the war or arrived after it began, until December 31, 2025 or until the end of the war in Ukraine and the possibility of returning to the country – whichever comes first. After this period, the policy will be revised based on current data.
