“The Third World War will show”: the ratings of the world’s armies are far from reality – opinion.

Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and deputy commander of the 3rd Special Operations Brigade Maxim Zhorin claims that the Ukrainian military has significant experience in the use of modern methods of combat operations.

According to Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Maxim Zhorin, publications of ratings of world armies by their power do not reflect reality. He expressed his opinion on Telegram. Zhorin believes it is incorrect to compare the Ukrainian army with countries such as India, Iran, Israel and others. He commented on the rating from the German service Statista, which placed Ukraine in sixth place in terms of the number of troops.

“Today, the Ukrainian army has something unique – vast experience. This type of military action, which is now being conducted in Ukraine, has not been seen for many decades. And modern methods of combat operations were also not observed in practice,” the Ukrainian Armed Forces major emphasized.

He also noted that not a single textbook on military science can answer the questions of how to wage war in such conditions, and it is the Ukrainian military that appears and applies the latest solutions on the battlefield.

“Time will tell what result the Third World War will show,” wrote the deputy commander of the 3rd Special Operations Brigade.

It was recently reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have dropped in the ranking of world armies, while the Russian Federation remains in second place. The Global Firepower rating took into account 60 parameters, including the number of personnel, reserve capabilities, weapons, equipment, military spending and climatic conditions.
