American President Donald Trump stated on September 2, 2025, that he is “not eager to receive the Nobel Peace Prize,” but believes he has done more than anyone else to achieve this award. In an interview with the Daily Caller, he repeatedly emphasized that he “stopped seven wars” and draws attention to the need for fair treatment of his personality.

When asked by a journalist about his desire to receive this award, Trump briefly answered “no,” but immediately noted that he would like a fair approach to his work. In the context of his words, he clarified:

“I can’t say that I strive for this award, that would be strange. But no one in history has done what I have done. I stopped seven wars. In particular, between India and Pakistan, when there was a threat of nuclear conflict.”

Trump also indicated that the process of ending the Ukrainian-Russian conflict is his greatest challenge. He noted:

“I ended seven other wars, some of which lasted more than three decades, but this war is definitely tough.”

The US President emphasizes that he previously thought that resolving the conflict in Ukraine would be the least difficult task due to personal contacts.

Speaking about his successes in peace initiatives, Trump added that he “resolved seven conflicts, and actually more, because there are two wars that no one knows about.” However, he did not specify which ones he was referring to. In his opinion, many of these countries were regularly in a state of conflict, and he was surprised that none of his predecessors noticed this.

In March 2025, Republican Congressman Darrell Issa announced that he would nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in resolving issues in the Middle East. In June, reports came from Pakistan about the intention to recommend Trump for his participation in peace talks with India. In July, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that he also nominated Trump for this prestigious award. In early August, Cambodia, which had previously signed a peace agreement with Thailand, spoke out in support of his candidacy.

Recently, the White House officially supported Trump’s candidacy for the Nobel Peace Prize, stating that this initiative has support from seven countries.
