“Hysteria leads to “worship of a big strong man”, and the people now spreading hysteria about World War III are divided into those who believe in “big strong Putin” or “big strong Trump”(or “big strong….,” ed.).
American historian, Yale University professor Timothy Snyder in his article “World War III? Let's help those who are holding it back.” raises a pressing and pressing question: how the Ukrainian resistance is holding back the global conflict, and why panic and hysteria around the Kremlin’s threats only play into the hands of the aggressor.

“The Ukrainians took on a titanically difficult situation and made it as easy as possible for the rest of the world. Their courage allows others to remain calm.”

Why is panic more dangerous than a nuclear threat?
Snyder criticizes those who incite hysteria over World War III. He believes that such sentiments fall into two camps:
- “Putin's fans.”
These people believe in his “strong personality” and demand that Ukraine surrender, which only strengthens the dictator.
- “Trump fans.”
They hope for simple solutions, such as statements about “ending the war in 24 hours,” which, according to the professor, is completely unrealistic.
“Trump does not have the power to force the Ukrainians to stop resisting or the Russians to stop aggression,” – writes Snyder.
The Kremlin is using these sentiments to create panic in the United States and other countries in order to stop arms supplies to Ukraine.
