Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel called On August 22, 2024, citizens of their country are not to visit the Russian regions of Kursk and Belgorod Oblasts, where military operations are taking place.

In particular, the Foreign Ministry warned of a high risk of missile attacks and bombings in the Kursk and Belgorod regions, as well as adjacent territories. If found in these places, Israeli citizens are advised to consider leaving them as soon as possible.

“In connection with the expansion of the war zone and active military operations on the Russian-Ukrainian border, there is a danger of aerial bombardment and rocket attacks on populated areas and residential areas in this territory.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry recommends that Israeli citizens wishing to travel to Russia avoid traveling to Kursk, Belgorod and their environs, and that Israelis in these areas reconsider their stay there.”
