Again anti-Israeli resolutions at the UN: “for” – Russia and its allies, Ukraine “abstained”, Israel and the USA “against”

Russia, using the UN General Assembly as a propaganda tool, again showed its true position by supporting two anti-Israel resolutions on December 11, 2024.

The documents are formally aimed at supporting humanitarian assistance and a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, but in reality they serve as a cover for strengthening the position of the terrorist organization Hamas.

“Russia has advocated resolutions that condemn Israel but turn a blind eye to the real crimes of Hamas. This is nothing more than political cynicism.”.

Ukraine abstained from voting, which can be regarded as a signal of friendly neutrality in favor of Israel. This is especially important against the backdrop of the war that Russia launched against Ukraine, and Moscow’s attempts to discredit Kyiv in the international arena.

The essence of the resolutions

1. Demand for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip (A/ES-10/L.33)

The resolution was submitted by the “State of Palestine” with the support of such “peacemakers” as Algeria, Bangladesh, Guinea, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia.

Against – 9: Argentina, Czech Republic, Hungary, Paraguay, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, USA, Israel.
