“I don't think there will be a question about evacuating our citizens from Israel,” says Ukrainian Ambassador Korniychuk

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk believes that, despite the tense situation in the Middle East, it will not come to the evacuation of Ukrainian citizens from Israel.

He stated this on air Espresso.

“We, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wrote messages for our citizens about the situation in Israel. In particular, we warn our citizens to refrain from traveling to Israel. Especially for tourism purposes. However, from an insider's point of view, when you are in the country, all this hysteria is not felt the same way as around the world,” Korniychuk explained.

The ambassador believes that it will not come to the evacuation of Ukrainian citizens from Israel.

“Of course, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Ukraine in Israel informed our citizens about what to do in case of an aggravation of the security situation in the Middle East. There were no requests to the embassy about evacuation. There were isolated requests from citizens asking for clarification on what to do if flights are cancelled. In this case, we recommend buying tickets from Israeli airlines. Iranian attacks or Hezbollah attacks, Israel still has technical advantages over these countries. We have experience in evacuating our citizens from Israel.”
