The question of whether some states and nations have the right to celebrate Victory over Nazism in the 2nd World War will be left aside.
There is no need to explain that those “celebrating” in Moscow on Red Square on May 9, 2025, along with the bloody dictator Putin, such “Victory participants” as Myanmar, Laos, Venezuela, Cuba, Brazil, Zimbabwe, Congo, Equatorial Guinea and others, had no relation whatsoever to the Victory or the 2nd World War, and for example, Slovakia participated in the Second World War on the side of Germany…
We will not mention the Israeli ambassador and Israeli veterans “as a gift to Putin” right now.
The presence of Mahmoud Abbas (as the Russian media cautiously put it, “partially recognized Palestinian Authority”) and their rally “Grandfathers fought” will also be left unsaid.
In general, as Russian media write, “27 leaders of foreign states arrived in Moscow for the Victory Day Parade in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, including the partially recognized Abkhazia, South Ossetia, and Palestine. In addition, China’s president Xi Jinping and Serbia’s president Aleksandar Vučić joined Putin.”
Let us just say: the “Immortal Regiment” action on May 9, 2025, took place both in Israel and in “Palestine”.
Find 7 differences
In the video below – the “Immortal Regiment” marches in Haifa and Bethlehem. Both videos are taken from the social media accounts of Russian “diplomats”.
Let’s find the differences and similarities.
Differences:
- One video was filmed in Haifa, the other in Bethlehem.
- One features, among others, the flags of Israel, the other – the flags of the “Palestinian National Authority”.
- In Haifa, there were Israelis who were outraged by such a relation to the Victory, they were dunked into a fountain; in Bethlehem, either no suitable fountains were found, or participants didn’t understand what they were doing, or they didn’t know what “Victory” they were celebrating and over whom.
- In Bethlehem, women were wearing hijabs, in Haifa – pilot caps.
- In Haifa, “watchful citizens” found “Banderites” around the rally, in Bethlehem, they don’t know what this is about.
- In Haifa, the video captured the presence of weapons among the “marchers,” in Bethlehem – no, probably the police work better there, or it’s safer for the population.
- In Haifa, a dog with a St. George ribbon was marching, in Bethlehem only some bird appeared in the background (the camera didn’t capture the ribbon on the bird).
- Didn’t find more – watch it yourself and look for them
Similarities:
- Both videos were created and distributed by Russian foreign “diplomatic services” – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, embassies, and the “Russian House”.
- Both videos feature Russian diplomatic workers.
- Both videos carry banners reading “Immortal Regiment … “Haifa” or “Palestine”.
- The logo on both banners is identical.
- Russian and red flags (unclear if these are flags of the USSR or separate Soviet army units).
- The songs are the same and sung in the same language.
- White t-shirts with the inscription “Immortal Regiment” in Russian and the chest St. George ribbons were clearly made in the same workshop.
- In both videos, a correspondent from “Russia Today” (RT) appears reporting.
- In Haifa, participants are holding portraits of “Jewish” ancestors, in Bethlehem, participants are holding portraits of “Arab” ancestors – oddly enough, signed in Russian.
- ………………… watch it yourself:
Haifa:
Bethlehem:
We must remember that freedom of expression, historical truth, and memory of the past should not become hostages of political interests and aggressive propaganda.
